Jane and Jill actively participate in numerous community organizations around the area. We are civic and community minded and try to do anything we can to promote our communities and surrounding areas. We support our local businesses as well as try to promote new businesses into the area.
Jane and Jill founded, "Kent Myers Community Betterment." It was started after the death of Kent Myers who took pride in his communities. The purpose of the organization is to have meaningful events and activities that bring individuals in our local communities of Wellsville, Middletown, Martinsburg, Montgomery City and surrounding together, all for the same purpose. Through the organization they have been able to buy new Christmas decorations for the City of Wellsville and held a special service, "A Christmas To Remember" for people from all the surrounding towns that have lost a loved one and wanted to remember them at that time.
They also held, "Paint the Town Purple," to bring awareness of cancer, which included a cancer walk and balloon launch in memory of those that have lost their battle with cancer and in honor of those that are survivors, with all proceeds being donated to the American Cancer Society.
With the support of the local Wellsville and Middletown communities they were able to bring a special "Tiger Homecoming" giving away a flat screen T.V., DVD player, and digital camera to a child in K-12 that attended Wellsville-Middletown R-1.
Most recently, the organization held, "A Tribute To Our Military," in which the communities came together and showed their gratitude to all of our past and present military men and women that have and continue to serve our country so faithfully in order to give us our freedom and opportunities that we would not have been able to have without their valiant efforts.
We believe you need to reach within your own communities and then work outward. There are people right here in our own counties that need us and we will continue to support and be there for them.
