Frances Dee “Frankie” McCormack, 84, of Wellsville, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2019 at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
Mrs. McCormack was born January 9, 1935 in Wellsville, Missouri, a daughter of Glen Enos and Maude Rae (Howard) Gooch.
On May 4, 1957 in Mexico, Missouri, she married Favol Orval McCormack. He preceded her in death on February 5, 1982.
Frankie had lived at her present address for over 50 years and most all of her life in Wellsville.
She was a homemaker. In earlier years, Frankie had worked at Jonesburg Shoe Factory and Hermann Toy Factory. She had also babysat for local kids.
Frankie liked fishing, camping and mushroom hunting. She was a collector of cookie jars and enjoyed going to flea markets, yard sales and auctions. Frankie also liked embroidering and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Frankie is survived by her children, Cindy Marie Collins and husband, Bill, of Wellsville, Wanda Fae McCormack, of Wellsville and Favol Lee McCormack and wife, Barb, of Beaufort; four grandchildren, Branden Collins, of Mexico, Cassie Borcherding and husband, Troy, of Mexico, Dustin McCormack, serving in the United States Marines stationed in Davenport, Iowa and his wife, Tasha, and Eric McCormack, of Independence; seven great-grandchildren, Jennifer Ray, of Columbia, Zoe Collins, Nathaniel, Tanner and Emma Borcherding, of Mexico and Dustin and Brayden McCormack, of Davenport, Iowa; sister, Dorothy Meyers, of Montgomery City, sister-in-law, Irene Gooch, of Wellsville; brother-in-law, Ray Love, of Mexico; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Favol McCormack; brother, Glen Howard Gooch and two sisters, Emma Robinson and Iola Love.
Visitation was held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at the Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville.
Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at the funeral home. Rev. Rod Davis officiated.
Burial was in the Wellsville Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Troy Borcherding, Bill Collins, Branden Collins, Dustin McCormack, Eric McCormack and Charlotte Senevey. Honorary pallbearers were Cassie Borcherding, Nathaniel Borcherding, Zoe Collins and Jennifer Ray.
