Grover "Bub" Allen Burts

July 27, 1961 ~ July 29, 2019 (age 58)

          Grover Allen “Bub” Burts, 58, of Wellsville, passed away Monday, July 29, 2019 in rural Wellsville, Missouri.

          Bub was born July 27, 1961 in Columbia, Missouri, a son of Grover Harrison and Margaret Sue (Inlow) Burts.

          On March 30, 1987 in Montgomery City, Missouri, he married Cathy Lynn Craven. They shared over 32 years together.  Bub had lived in Wellsville all of his life.

          He had previously worked at the New Florence Stave Mill for 10 years.  Bub had also been a self-employed construction contractor, building and remodeling houses.

          Bub loved fishing, mowing and helping his kids with odd jobs.  More than anything, Bub loved spending time with his family. 

          Bub is survived by his wife, Cathy Lynn Burts, of the home in Wellsville; four children and spouses, Richard Louis “Richie” and Kristina Burts, of O’Fallon, Charles Edward “Charlie” and Michelle Burts, Stephanie Lynn and Jeremy Swygard and Brandy Renee and Dustin Luckey, all of Wellsville; grandchildren, Amy Nicole Hudson, of Morrilton, Arkansas, Katelynn Nicole Burts and Blake William Eoff, of Wellsville, Caleb Loyd Walden, of O’Fallon, Breigha Jayden Swygard and Madison Lea Burts, both of Wellsville, Makenzie Lynn Burts, of O’Fallon, Jaidyn Charles Burts, Lilyan Renee Luckey, Noah Matthew Luckey and Sophia Lynn Swygard, all of Wellsville; great-granddaughter to be born, Everlynn Faith Eoff; father-in-law, Charlie Albert Craven and wife, Joyce of Pilot Grove; sisters, Surrah Lou and Jerry Baugh, of Mexico, Jenny Sue Tarrants, of Vandalia, Martha Louise Cole, of Montgomery City and April Craven, of Mexico; in addition to several nieces, nephews and cousins.

          He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Margaret Burts; mother-in-law, Loretta May Craven; brother, Marion Louis “Chub” Burts and sister, Nancy Marie Burts.

          At Bub’s request, he was cremated and there will be no services.

          Arrangements were under the direction of the Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville.
