                Ivan Dale Wineinger, 86, of High Hill, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019 at his home in High Hill.

                Mr. Wineinger was born October 22, 1932 in Cuzco, Indiana, a son of Arthur Edgar and Lula Cordelia (Fox) Wineinger.

                He was a graduate of Cuzco High School in Cuzco, Indiana.  Ivan completed one year of college at Louisville Bible College in Louisville, Kentucky, which is where he met his wife, Cletabell.

                Ivan served his country in the United States Army, entering on March 25, 1953 and being honorably discharged on March 16, 1955, serving in the Korean War.  He was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. 

                On August 30, 1952 in Cuzco, Indiana, he married Cletabell Wenger.  They shared almost 56 years of marriage together before she preceded him in death on June 25, 2008.

                Ivan was a lifetime member of the Christian Church, where he was currently a member of High Hill Christian Church. 

                He had lived in High Hill since October 2005.  Prior to that, he lived in Warrenton from 1991-2005 and in West Alton before 1991.

                Ivan had been the Assistant Director of Transportation for Hazelwood School District for many years.  He took care of the maintenance and operation of the school buses. 

                He was a greeter at McDonald’s in New Florence.  Ivan had gone on the Central Missouri Honor Flight in August of 2016 and absolutely loved the trip.

                Ivan is survived by his children, Dale Edgar Wineinger and wife, Rhonda, of St. Louis, Mark Eugene Wineinger and wife, Linda, of Alton, Illinois and Rebecca Jean Wineinger and husband, Tim Wilson, of Durango, Colorado; seven grandchildren and spouses, Lauren and Justin Smith, of New Bloomfield, Nathan Wineinger, of Washington D.C., Landon and Kristen Wineinger, of Kansas City, Stephanie and Matt Simon, of St. Charles, LeeAnn and  Brian Biggs, of Fosterburg, Illinois, Lisa Marine, of St. Louis and Jenna and Tim Mitchell, of Lebanon; ten great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Miller, Piper Bacon, James and Lucas Biggs, Luke and Caleb Smith, Bennett Gable , Joslyn Minicky and Diana Cletabell and Zelda Mitchell and brother and sister-in-law, Charles Wayne and Violet Wineinger, of Troy.

                He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Cletabell Wineinger; daughter, Barbara Ruth Wineinger; great-grandson, Sam Biggs; brother, Bob Wineinger and sister, Ruby Fox.

                Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 16, 2019 at High Hill Christian Church.  Rev. Jim Bettison and Rev. Dan Sites officiated.  Serving as organist was Dee Hall. 

                Visitation was held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service, Saturday, at the church.

                Graveside Services were at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Ebenezer Cemetery, in West Alton, Missouri.

                Services were under the direction of the Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville.
