Shawn James Pritchett, aka “Lunchbox”, 35, of New Florence, died Tuesday, September 17, 2019 in Shrewsbury, Missouri, from injuries sustained in a work related accident.
Shawn was born July 31, 1984 in Mexico, Missouri, a son of Theresa Louise (Sinklear) Jones.
Shawn had attended Vatterott College, obtaining his HVAC certification. He also attended training school for operators.
He was a journeyman through the Operating Engineers Local 513. Shawn had most recently been working with SAK Construction in Shrewsbury.
Shawn had lived in New Florence the past 2 years and in Montgomery City prior to that.
He was a member of the Invader Motorcycle Club and loved riding his motorcycle. Shawn also enjoyed watching football and St. Louis Cardinals baseball. He really liked cooking and was very good at it. Most of all, he loved playing and being with his kids and family.
Shawn had a huge heart and would help anyone out that needed something. To all that knew him, he was a loving, caring man who was always joking around and more than anything, enjoyed making people laugh. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Shawn is survived by his fiancee’ who he has been with for over 15 years, Breanna Faye Clark, of the home in New Florence; children, Zachary James Pritchett, Leeam Joseph Pritchett, Hazel Mae Wyrick and Grace Ann Wyrick, all of New Florence; mother and father, Theresa and Doug Jones, of Montgomery City; sister, Shianne Jones, of Montgomery City; brother, Jeremy Pritchett, of Montgomery City; in addition to countless friends.
He is preceded in death by his son, Kole Matthew Pritchett and grandmother, Fran Vaughn.
Visitation was held from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m., Monday, September 23, 2019 at Grace Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall in Wellsville.
Funeral services immediately followed at 5:00 p.m., Monday, September 23, 2019 at the fellowship hall. Jeff Voight officiated.
Burial was in the Wellsville Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Kyle Bailey, Eric Catalano, Nick Clark, Danny Eoff, Luke Gastler, Matt McIntyre, Tommy Joles and Andy Pritchett. Honorary pallbearers were Jeremy Pritchett, Zachary Pritchett and Doug Jones.
Services were under the direction of the Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville.
