Andrew "Andy" Ehret, 87, of Martinsburg, Missouri, passed away Saturday October 14, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday October 20, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Martinsburg with Father Derek Hooper and Deacon Joe Allen officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at the church.

Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville is in charge of the arrangements.

Andy was born in New London, Missouri, on November 23, 1935. He was the son of Fritz and Alpha (Wood) Ehret. He served his country in the United States Army. He retired from Caterpillar in Joliet, Illinois.

Andy moved to Martinsburg after meeting the love of his life, Maureen (Pursifull) Allen Ehret who was with him and cared for him until the very end, holding his hand as he went to be with the Lord.

In addition to his wife Maureen, Andy is survived by his children, Mark Ehret, of Riverside, California, Shelly (Tim) Pfaff, of Morris, Illinois, Julie Brown, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, John Allen, of Martinsburg, and Joe (Tina) Allen, of Olathe, Kansas; he also had numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Mary (Ehret) McGeorge, Paulina (Ehret) Tompkins, and Loa Belle (Ehret) Sinclair; brothers, Fred Ehret, George Ehret, and Lawrence Ehret; a son-in-law Steve Brown, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Andy was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved hunting, fishing, and was a very skillful woodworker. He could fix almost anything, and spent many hours using his talents to help others. He loved to visit with family who will miss him dearly and hold him forever in their hearts.

In lieu of donations, the family is requesting contributions be made to St. Joseph Parish, 408 E. Kellett, Martinsburg, MO 65264, to have Masses said in Andy's name.
