Ava Morris, 70, of Wellsville, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022, at Boone Hospital in Columbia.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville is handling the arrangements.

Ava was born October 13, 1951, in Mexico, Missouri. She was the daughter of Elmer and Della (Cash) Sheets. On July 3, 1969, in Wellsville, she married William O. Morris, Jr., who survives at the home.

Ava enjoyed baking for her children and grandchildren. Raising and caring for her family was her greatest joy.

In addition to her husband William, survivors include two sons, Anthoney (Dana) Morris, of Wellsville, and Shannon L. (Kim) Morris, of Wellsville; one sister, Linda (Alvin) Chalfant, of Wellsville; two grandchildren, Steven (Danielle) Morris, of Auxvasse, and Cameron (Kelsey) Morris, of Fulton; two great grandchildren, Taylor Mae Morris, and Jayce Orlie Morris; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, and four sisters.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Dialysis Clinic, Inc. in Mexico. They may be sent in care of Myers Funeral Home, 203 E. Bates Street, Wellsville, MO 63384.
