Bettylou Naomi Douglas, 99, of New Florence, passed away at 4:35 p.m.  Monday May 2, 2022, at St. Andrew's at New Florence Nursing Home.

Bettylou was born in Bloomington, Illinois on September 24, 1922.  She was the daughter of Owen and Clara (Otto) Orendorff.

She married Harvey Tucker who preceded her in death and from that union one son Robert Tucker (Deborah) of Saint Peters, MO.  Later she married Charles Douglas who also preceded her in death.

Bettylou was a homemaker and loved her books as was an avid reader.

In addition to her son and daughter in law, survivors include two grandchildren Marissa Tucker and her husband DeShun Wang of Chicago, IL, and Amanda Patredis of Ballwin, MO.; two great grandchildren Xavier Tucker-Wang and Adelyn Patredis.

A private family service will be held at a later date in Bloomington, IL. Myers Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
