Billy Joe Dodd Jr. 63 of Crane, Missouri, passed away Saturday January 7, 2023 at his home.

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday January 11, 2023, at Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville.  Myers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Dodd was born February 1, 1959 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of the late Billy Joe Dodd Sr. Laddonia, MO and the late Catherine Elizabeth Boyd of Kansas City, Missouri.

Billy Joe chose the profession as an over the road truck driver until he was diagnosed with cancer in 2016. He enjoyed many things in life which included visiting with friends, music, fishing and western movies.

He is survived by his six children, Catherine Ann (Chad) Bolin of Centertown, MO, Jennifer Sue (Robert) Huffman of Litchfield, MN, Billy Joe Dodd III (Leann) of Aurora, MO, Travis William Dodd of Aurora, MO, Eddie Newton Dodd of Crane, MO, and Destiny Jewell Dodd of Crane, MO.; 11 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his stepmother Rosemary Barker Stephens Dodd, of Laddonia, MO, sister Suzanne Dodd of Plant City, FL; and a Stepbrother Michael Arza Stephens, of Hemlock, IN.

Mr. Dodd is preceded in death by his parents Billy Joe Dodd Sr. and Catherine Elizabeth Boyd; a stepsister Charlotte Marie Steele; and two stepbrothers Phillip Victor Stephens and David Oliver Stephens.
