Bonnie J. McCurdy, 62, of Vandalia, passed away at 3:50 a.m. Friday November 25, 2022, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.

Memorial visitation will be 4 – 5:30 p.m. Sunday December 4, 2022, at the Middletown Community Center in Middletown. There will be a meal served at 5:30 p.m. for all.

Myers Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Bonnie was born on October 22, 1960, in Mexico. She was the daughter of Joseph Edgar and Bessie Mae (Perry) Cash. On October 24, 1975, she married Mike McCurdy in Wellsville who survives.

Bonnie attended Wellsville-Middletown High School. She retired in 2017 after 23 years with the Eastern Missouri Correctional Center where she worked many of the years as supervisor of the Garment Factory.

Bonnie loved spending time with her grandchildren, camping, sewing, making crafts, and coloring books. She also loved animals and especially her many dogs over the years.

In addition to her husband Mike, survivors include three sons, Michael (Amanda) McCurdy, of Middletown, Jimmy (Rebecca) McCurdy, of Vandalia, and Charles (Jill) McCurdy, of Wellsville; four sisters, Juanita Raines, of Wellsville, Connie Turner, of Middletown, Mary Flake, of Warrenton, and Della VonVain, of Middletown; seven grandchildren, Adam, Katelyn, Amy, Makayla, Chase, Megan, and Austin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Ricky and Bobby Cash.

Memorials may be made to the Middletown Lions Club. They may be sent in care of Myers Funeral Home, 203 E. Bates Street, Wellsville, MO 63384.
