Carol Virginia Hodgerson, 84, of Montgomery City, MO, passed away on March 24, 2022, at SSM St. Joseph West Hospital at Lake St. Louis, MO, surrounded by family.
Carol Virginia Hodgerson was born on June 28, 1937 in St. Louis, MO, to Walter William Schuette and Anna Marie Windler Schuette. She graduated from Normandy High School in St. Louis, MO, and later graduated from cosmetology school. On May 5, 1956 she married Norman Feldkamp in St. Louis, MO, and they were married for over 44 years when he preceded her in death on March 23, 2001. To this Union three daughters were born, Darlene, Alane, and Deanna. Later Carol married Bernard "Bernie" Hodgerson on June 7, 2002 and they were married for over nineteen wonderful years. Carol was a hairstylist for many years until she started working for the Department of Corrections in Fulton, MO. Carol was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Wellsville, MO; a member of the Grace Lutheran Church Ladies Auxiliary; a member of the Red Hat Club; sold Avon for over 50 years; enjoyed square dancing, reading, sewing, and most of all loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hodgerson is survived by her husband, Bernie Hodgerson of Montgomery City, MO; three children: Darlene Simmons and husband, Edward, of Oklahoma City, OK; Alane Appling and husband, Lowell, of Moberly, MO; and Deanna Babington and husband, Richard, of Darden Prairie, MO; Grandchildren: Kara Fehr and husband, Bryan; Gina Johnson and husband, Cody; Lucas Appling and wife, Hillary; Sadie Brimer and husband, Seth; and Kelsey Bruce and husband, Jeremy; nine great-grandchildren: Brylie and Brock Fehr; Dakota and Willow Johnson; Jaxson and Emalyn Appling; Zander and Lincoln Brimer; Julian Bruce; and two on the way. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mrs. Hodgerson was preceded in death by her parents, Walter William Schuette and Anna Marie Windler Schuette; husband, Norman Feldkamp; and sisters: Delores Smith and Mary Sue Schuette.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at the Grace Lutheran Church in Wellsville, MO, with the Reverend Luke Wolters officiating.
