Dalton Eugene "Dodie" Williams, 89, of Laddonia, passed away at 9:05 p.m., Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at the Meadowlands in O'Fallon.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, October 8, 2021, at Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville. Burial will follow in Wellsville Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Dodie was born in Mexico on April 28, 1932, the son of Velton and Melva (Roberts) Williams. On February 18, 1956, in Wellsville, he was married to Carolyn "Carrie" Carr who survives.
Mr. Williams was a veteran of the US Air Force, serving during the Korean War. He was a farmer and also a well-known Antique Dealer. For several years Dodie and Carrie operated Countryside Antiques in Herman. In later years he drove a School Bus for Van Far. He continued to enjoy tending to his cattle and the farm. He also loved playing cards.
In addition to his wife Carrie, survivors include two sons, Michael Eugene "Mike" Williams, of Laddonia, and Gregory Alan "Greg" Williams, of O'Fallon; two daughters, Patti Michelle Bloemke (Daniel), of St. Charles, Joni Lynette Williams (Dwight Downs), of St. Peters; four grandchildren, Nate (Cody Miller), Lauren, and Olivia Bloemke, and Brad Williams.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. They may be sent in care of Myers Funeral Home, 203 E. Bates Street, Wellsville, MO 63384.
