David Edwin "Dave" Comer, 68, of Millersburg, formerly of Wellsville, passed away at 7:53 p.m., Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri.

Graveside services were at 1:30 p.m., Monday, January 11, 2016 at the Wellsville Cemetery. Minister Cornellia Williams officiated. Serving as pallbearers were Jay Beshears, Donnie Forrest, Guss Lewton, Mike McCoy, Billy Owens and Colin Payton. Honorary pallbearers were Dan Baker and Robert Baker.

Services were under the direction of the Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville.

Dave was born June 11, 1947, in Wellsville, Missouri, a son of Edwin Harold and Catherine Ruth Worsham Comer.

He was a Master Upholsterer. Dave was self-employed, owning and operating his own shop, Superior Upholstery. He custom upholstered the first three Coyote cars that were ever built. Coyote cars were the concept cars for the cars used in the T.V. show, Hard Castle and McCormick. Dave primarily worked on classic cars. He was well known in the upholstery and classic car world from Missouri to California. Dave also had worked at Wal-Mart in Fulton for over 8 years.

Dave enjoyed watching westerns, listening to rock and roll and country music, watching action and adventure movies. He loved tattoos, motorcycles and hot rods. Dave liked animals and even volunteered at the animal shelter for several years. More than anything, he loved being around people he loved. His family meant the world to him and he didn't let a day go by without telling each of them how he felt. Dave appreciated everything he had and all he was a part of. He will be sorely missed by all.

Dave is survived by his children, Joseph Blake "Joe" Comer, of Seabrook, Texas, Charles Edward Perry and wife, Dawn Michelle, of Millersburg, Amber Dawn Comer, of Lee's Summit, Petey Comer, Marnie Comer, David Comer and Jade Comer, all of the state of California; grandchildren, Brianna Comer, of Montgomery City, Grant Comer, of Mexico, Joey Elder, of Springfield, Kaylee Comer, of Fulton, Josephine Comer, of Acapulco, Mexico, David Comer, of Mexico City, Mexico, Alex Perry, Aiden Perry, Karma Perry and Vinny Perry, of Millersburg, Gage Alexander and Alanah Alexander, of Lee's Summit and sister, Diana Comer, of Longbeach, California.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Ruth Comer.
