Deloris E. "Dee" Gastler, 85, of Martinsburg, passed away at 9:55 a.m. Wednesday June 21, 2023, at the King's Daughters Home in Mexico.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Grace Lutheran Church in Wellsville with Pastor Luke Wolters officiating. Burial will follow in Wellsville Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday prior to the service at the church beginning at 8 a.m.

Dee was born on May 14, 1938, in Medora, Illinois. She was the daughter of Homer and Francis (Bierman) Milner. On February 28, 1959, in Medora, she married Norman J. Gastler who preceded her in death on January 6, 2012.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church where she was active in the Grace Ladies Society, Choir, Midweek, and Vacation Bible School. She was cofounder along with Norman, of the Community R-VI PTA. She was a member of Circle of Friends and also a long-time poll worker in Martinsburg.

Dee enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, embroidery, and playing cards with friends. She loved spending time with family. She was a great cook and was famously known for her peach pie.

Survivors include two sons, Stephen "Steve" Gastler (Joyce), of Martinsburg, and Mark Gastler (Michelle), of Columbia; one daughter, Patricia "Patty" Fennewald (Craig), of Martinsburg; six grandchildren, Chad Gastler (Amy), of Maryville, MO, Brad Gastler (Jenny), of Martinsburg, Josh Mantle (Julie), of Columbia, Amanda Valbracht (Dan), of Austin, Texas, Kyle Fennewald (Erica), of Kansas City, Missouri, Brent Fennewald, of Martinsburg, and Molly Claire Mays, of Martinsburg; and ten great-grandchildren, Kamryn and Cooper Gastler, Emmie and Parker Gastler, Bennett and Elliott Mantle, Olivia and Liam Fennewald and one new Fennewald due in October, and Clayton and Brenlynn Fennewald; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Gastler and Joyce Gastler.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman; one brother, Nelson Milner; father-in-law, Leo Gastler; mother-in-law, Thelma Gastler; three brothers-in-law, Harold Gastler, Bernie Gastler, and Bill Gastler; two sisters-in-law, Norma Milner and Barb Gastler; one nephew, Mike Milner; and one niece, Nancy Milner Overbey.

Memorials may be given to Grace Lutheran Church, Wellsville Cemetery Association, or to the King's Daughters Home in Mexico. They may be sent in care of Myers Funeral Home, 203 E. Bates Street, Wellsville, MO 63384.
