Donna Sue Cullom, 69, of Montgomery City, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at her home.
Donna was born September 14, 1949 in McKittrick, Missouri, a daughter of Joseph Frank and Esther Leona (Clark) Romaker.
On May 29, 1965 in Bellflower, Missouri, she married Richard Dixon. They were the parents of four daughters. She then married Paul David Cullom in New Florence, Missouri in 1985. He preceded her in death on February 12, 2013. Donna and Paul lived in Montgomery City all of their married life.
Donna had worked at Hays Apple Orchard in Wellsville in earlier years. She then worked as a Certified Nurses Aide at Jonesburg Nursing Home, Katie Jane Memorial Home in Warrenton and Frene Valley in Hermann. Donna had also been a cook at the Montgomery County Jail for over fifteen years.
She enjoyed gardening, canning and cooking. Donna liked doing jigsaw puzzles, going to yard sales, junking and antiquing and was an avid collector of lighthouses and roosters. She was a St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Royals baseball fan. Donna loved going to the Montgomery County Old Threshers. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family.
Donna is survived by her four daughters, Beverly Kay Roe and husband, Johnny, of Pampa, Texas, Janice Ann Carter, of Columbia, Teresa Sue Maylee and husband, Jeff, of Montgomery City and Angela Marie "Angie" Kinder and husband, Stacey, of Montgomery City; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, George Dale "Butch and Lois Romaker, of Platte City and Ronald Ray "Pete" and Margaret Romaker, of Hermann; in addition to several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Esther Romaker; husband, Paul David Cullom; brothers, Dennis Floyd Romaker, Alvin Eugene Romaker, Ralph Duane "Dutch" Romaker, Jerome Joe "Jerry" Romaker; foster brother, Paul Jointer Marshall and sister, Kathi Christine Marshall.
Funeral services were at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, September 23, 2018 at the Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville. Sam Schaffrin officiated.
Visitation was held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service, Sunday, at the funeral home.
Burial was in Loutre Island Cemetery in Hermann, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were Kyle Carter, Stacey Kinder, Joshua Maylee, Johnny Roe, Sam Schaffrin and Skylar Stuart.
