Doris Jean Dubbert, 72, of Martinsburg, passed away Sunday August 14, 2022, at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 18, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Martinsburg. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church from 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Doris was born in Mexico, Missouri, on July 20, 1950, the daughter of Benjamin "Jake" and Mary Anne (Sanford) Wieschhaus. On July 17, 1971, she married Charles D. Dubbert at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Martinsburg. Mr. Dubbert survives at the home.
Doris was an RN BSN and spent 40 years working at Audrain Medical Center in Mexico. She worked a number of those years in ICU. She also had served as the school nurse at Community R-VI. She had been involved as a 4-H leader for years, including serving as the leader for the Merry Martins Club. She was a member of the St. Joseph Martinsburg Quilting Club, and she also enjoyed cross stitching. She enjoyed traveling with her husband. Together they had gone on numerous trips, including the most recent trip with the kids to Colorado to celebrate her and Charles 50th wedding anniversary.
In addition to her husband survivors include four sons, Jason (Alison) Dubbert, of Jefferson City, Kevin (Jennifer) Dubbert, of Martinsburg, David (Alane) Dubbert, of Belton, and Nathan (Christina), of Palmyra, Maine; one brother, Bill Wieschhaus, of Auxvasse; and one sister, Anne (Sam) Jennings, of Centralia; six grandchildren, Fiona Dubbert, Joseph and Kasey Dubbert, and William, Georgia, and Joshua Dubbert; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Charlie Wieschhaus.
Memorials may be given to St. Joseph Catholic Church. They may be sent in care of Myers Funeral Home, 203 E. Bates Street, Wellsville, MO 63384.
