Doris Elizabeth Wieberg, 89, of Martinsburg, passed away at 6:40 a.m., Sunday, October 4, 2026, at King’s Daughters Home in Mexico
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Martinsburg with Father Derek Hooper officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Martinsburg.
Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church. Myers Funeral Home in handling the arrangements.
Doris was born July 6, 1937, in Wellsville. She was the daughter of Mark and Elizabeth Ann (Blackshaw) Cobb. On August 12, 1961, in Montgomery City, she married Joseph Theodore Wieberg. Joe preceded her in death on October 4, 2019.
Doris was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and had been active in the Ladies Sodality. She worked for many years as the bookkeeper and secretary for Wieberg Implement Company. She also was the bookkeeper for the family farm. She enjoyed sewing, cross stitch and scrapbooking. She was very well known for the delicious cookies she baked. Family was very important to Doris, her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include one son, Mark Wieberg (Kara), of Mexico; two daughters, Nancy Wilson (Jeff), of Lee’s Summit, and Theresa “JoJo” Compton (Larry), of Lamar; ten grandchildren, Lucas Compton (Lacy), Landon Compton (Chynna), Jesse Compton (Taylor), Lauren Bivens (Spencer), Brandt Wieberg (Lindsey), Mackenzie Wieberg, Maya Wieberg, Anna Wieberg, Eli Wieberg, and Sophia Wieberg; five great grandchildren, Lawson and Lochlan Compton, Leighton and Jersey Compton, and Caden Compton, and three more on the way, one of which will be named Cross Theodore Bivens.
In addition to her husband Joe, she was preceded in death by her parents, one infant brother Calvin Cobb, and one brother Harold Cobb.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the King’s Daughters Home in Mexico or to the St. Joseph Catholic School Trust. They may be sent in care of Myers Funeral Home, 203 E. Bates Street, Wellsville, MO 63384.
