Dorothy Bradshaw, 87, of Mexico, formerly of Wellsville, passed away at 6:53 a.m. Monday March 6, 2023, at her home in Mexico.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday March 9, 2023, at Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville. Burial will follow in Wellsville Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday at 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Dorothy was born September 7, 1935, in Martinsburg, Missouri. She was the daughter of John Delmer and Lottie Pearl (Gardner) Stuart. On November 18, 1961, in Mexico, she married Richard Bradshaw who preceded her in death on March 27, 2013.
Dorothy lived in Wellsville most of her life until moving to Mexico in 1985. She worked as a seamstress at National Garment Factory in Wellsville from 1962 to 1983. She then worked at Continental Bag in Mexico from 1987 to 2012.
She enjoyed playing cards, Bingo, listening to Bluegrass music, going to the "boat", fishing, and quilting.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Dobbins, of Mexico; a very dear friend Ruth Devlin, of New Florence; two sisters, Leona Ruth "Tody" Oliver, of Mexico, Iona Sue "Tessie" (Sam) Haislip, of Wellsville; five grandchildren, Gayle Bergthold (Bruce), of Austin, Texas, Angie Lynn Hill, of Fulton, Christopher Eugene Ball, of Wellsville, Jennifer Lynn Ball, of Montgomery City, and Brian Christian (Chelsey), of Wellsville; nine great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, which she affectionately called her "other grandchildren".
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Freddie Eugene Ball; four brothers, John Delmar Stuart, Elmer Lee Stuart, Albert Lloyd Stuart, and Gale Eugene Stuart; and one sister, Martha Frances Nye.
