Duncan Eric Payton, 59, of Montgomery City, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital – St. Charles, Missouri.

Duncan was born January 11, 1959 in Cook Station, Missouri.

He had lived in Montgomery County most all of his life.

Duncan had worked for Dale Brower Plumbing for several years.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and cars. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Duncan had a generous and giving personality with a heart of gold. He would give his shirt off his back or last dollar in his pocket if someone needed it.

Duncan is survived by his mother, Goldie Brookman; siblings, Peggy Brookman, Robin VanDoren and husband, Tony, Steven Brookman and wife, Julie, Darren Brookman and Lindsey Brooks and Billie Jean Kissee and husband, Roger; sister-in-law, Lacey Brookman; in addition to many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Brookman and brother, Greg Brookman.

Private family memorial services will be held at a later date.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville.
