Edna F. Berry, 74, passed away peacefully with her loving daughter by her side on October 26, 2024, in Sun Lakes, AZ.  She had been bravely fighting myelodysplastic syndrome the last 18 months.

Celebration of life services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville, Missouri with Reverend John Foster officiating.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville, Missouri.

Edna was born on May 19, 1950 in Middletown, Mo, the second eldest of five daughters of Ed and Margaret (Campbell) McCurdy.

She graduated from Wellsville-Middletown R-1 High School and went on to receive her LPN degree in 1969. During her working years she began to follow her nursing dreams and worked to receive her RN and BS degree. She spent her professional career at various nursing facilities, including Director of Nursing at Gamma Road Lodge and retired as the staff nurse from the Missouri Department of Corrections.

Edna married Billy J. Berry on June 28, 1969, at the Middletown United Methodist Church in Middletown, MO. They lived in Middletown and later moved to rural Wellsville, MO. In 2019 they moved into Wellsville where they spent their summers. During the winter months they traveled to Arizona, spending time with their daughter and her family. They shared 55 years together before his death on September 10, 2024.

Edna attended The Light Church in Wellsville and Cornerstone Church in Chandler, AZ. She touched countless lives with her kindness and care for others. She was always ready to lend a helping hand and was a rock of support for many. Her legacy of compassion will be remembered by all who knew her and she will be deeply missed.

She enjoyed cooking, whether it be hot rolls for the family dinners, homemade ice cream for birthday celebrations, cream puffs for her family and co-workers or making her delicious and attractive mints. She was exceptionally proud of her grandchildren and twin great-grandsons and found endless delight in spoiling them; creating memories they will carry forever.

Survivors include one daughter Hanna Bass (Lynn) of Sun Lakes, Arizona, three grandchildren Allison Guerra (Nathan) of Mesa, Arizona, Luke Bass of Flagstaff, Arizona, and Dillon Bass of Sun Lakes, Arizona; twin great-grandsons, Noah and Levi Guerra; sisters Judy Canterbury (Don) of Wellsville, Vicki Lemasters (Steve) of Mexico, and Debbie Welch of Vandalia; brother-in-law Jim Long of Paris; sisters-in-law Emiko Berry of Hawaii, Sue Berry of New Port Richey, Florida; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her husband she is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; sister Patti Long; brother-in-law Allen Welch; in-laws James and Virgie Berry; brothers-in-law Bob Berry and Karl Berry.
