Edna Ruth Oberhaus, 82, of Montgomery City, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2019 at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital – Audrain in Mexico, Missouri.

Mrs. Oberhaus was born January 14, 1937 in Curryville, Missouri, a daughter of Albert Thomas and Leutheads (Ellis) Inlow.

On December 13, 1975 in Wellsville, Missouri, she married Henry Herman Oberhaus Sr. They shared over 43 years of marriage together. Edna and Henry have lived in Montgomery City for over 27 years.

Edna was a homemaker and housewife.

She was an amazing cook and made the best homemade noodles and rolls. Edna enjoyed crocheting, sewing, needlepoint and adult coloring books. She liked going dancing, watching her soap operas and westerns and attending Montgomery County Old Threshers, Tractor Pulls and the Middletown Picnic. Her entire house was full of family pictures as that is where her heart was, family meant everything to Edna.

Edna is survived by her husband, Henry Oberhaus Sr., of the home in Montgomery City; children and their spouses, Pamela (Jim) Gibbs, of Vandalia, Debra "Debbie" Smith, of Buell, Henry H. (Stacy) Oberhaus Jr., of Lebanon, Albert Leroy (Lona) Williams, of Lebanon and Angela "Angie" Oberhaus, of Urbana; 18 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Mary Lou (Harold "PeeWee") Hurstman, of Higginsville, Russell Ray (Susan) Inlow, of Monroe City, Wilma Ann (Basil) Hurstman, of Higginsville, James Edward (Judy) Inlow, of Concordia and Kathleen (Bob) Luckett, of Plainsville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Johnny Powell; daughter, Jeanette Smith; granddaughter, Angela Powell; son-in-law, Dean Smith and brothers and sister, Thomas Willard Inlow, Harold Raymond Inlow, Margaret Sue Burch and Forrest Wayne Inlow.

Funeral services were at 1:00 p.m., Monday, July 15, 2019 at the Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville. Rev. John Bateman officiated.

Visitation was held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service, Monday, at the funeral home.

Burial was in Sunrise Memorial Gardens, north of Montgomery City. Serving as pallbearers were her grandsons, Jeremy Oberhaus, Eddie Oberhaus, Shawn Oberhaus, Dusty Smith, Cody Staggs and Dylan Smith. Honorary pallbearers were her granddaughters, Mindy Smith, Misty Smith, Ashley Zarhouni and Vallery Zarhouni.
