Elizabeth May "Lizzy" Stuart, 78, of Wellsville, passed away at 11:53 a.m., Friday, February 12, 2016 at Audrain Medical Center in Mexico, Missouri.

Funeral services were at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at the Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville. Rev. John Foster officiated.

Burial was in the Wellsville Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were her grandchildren, Jessica Arens, Melissa Burton, Stacey Gunckel, Heather Holmes, Ryan Maskey, Corey Senevey, Jeff Senevey, Matt Senevey, Eric Stuart and Shane Stuart. Honorary pallbearers were her great-grandchildren, Dawson Arens, Karley Arens, Devyn Burton, Ethan Burton, Andrew Maskey, Layton Maskey, MaKenna Maskey, Chase Ragsdell, Aiden Senevey, Josie Senevey, Lacey Senevey, Mason Senevey, Brent Sheets, Erin Nicole Stuart, Jaiden Stuart, Jastin Stuart, Maison Stuart, Makaila Stuart and Skylar Stuart.

Visitation was held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service, Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Stuart was born May 4, 1937, in Wellsville, Missouri, a daughter of Joseph William and Irene Elizabeth Morris Huff.

On May 16, 1953, in Mexico, Missouri, she married Elmer Lee "Dutch" Stuart. They shared over 60 years together, before he preceded her in death on November 9, 2013.

Lizzy had lived at her present address since 1968. She lived in Wellsville all of her life.

She had worked at the Wellsville Garment Factory as a serger for over 20 years until it closed down. Lizzy had also been employed at Gamma Road Lodge in housekeeping for 15 years. Lizzy and Dutch had owned and operated Stuart's Bar for 7 years.

Lizzy loved playing bingo and had played for many years. She also enjoyed bowling and had been on a league in earlier years. Lizzy also liked to fish. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Lizzy is survived by her children and their spouses, Donna Lee and Steve Maskey, Elmer Lee "Shorty" Jr. and Donna Stuart, Charlotte Ann Senevey and Carla Jo and Mike Arens, of Wellsville; ten grandchildren and spouses, Melissa and James Burton and Ryan and Lois Ann Maskey, of Wellsville, Stacey and Richard Gunckel, of St. Charles, Eric Stuart and Shane Stuart, of Wellsville, Jeff Senevey, of Boonville, Corey Senevey, of Wellsville, Matt and Susan Senevey, of Ashland, Heather and JD Holmes, of Benwood, West Virginia and Jessica Arens, of Auxvasse; nineteen great-grandchildren, Devyn and Ethan Burton, MaKenna, Layton and Andrew Maskey and Brent Sheets, of Wellsville, Skylar and Erin Nicole Stuart, of Montgomery City, Makaila, Jaiden and Maison Stuart, of Wellsville, Lacey and Josie Senevey, of Boonville, Chase Ragsdell, of Wellsville, Aidan and Mason Senevey, of Ashland, Jastin Stuart, of Benwood, West Virginia and Dawson and Karley Arens, of Auxvasse; brothers, Edward "Ed" Huff and wife, Barbara, of Wellsville, Robert Pendegraft and Dennis Ray Pendegraft, of Fulton; sister, Sherry Jones, of Fulton; in addition to several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Lee "Dutch" Stuart; daughter, Diana Sue Stuart; father, Joseph W. Huff; mother and step-father, Irene and Robert Pendegraft; sister, Darlene Farmer and brothers, Joseph Huff, Jimmie Pendegraft and Daniel Allen Pendegraft.
