Erma F. Dunn, 78, of Middletown, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Myers Funeral Home in Middletown. With Deacon Ron Deimeke officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the Funeral Home.

Erma was born on February 24, 1947 in Mexico, Missouri, the daughter of Walter and Margaret (Jarboe) Kleinsorge.  On May 28, 1965 she married William Earl Dunn, at the Middletown United Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on April 20, 2016.

Erma was a member of the Middletown United Methodist Church and led the Sunday School Youth Group in her younger years. She was a 4-H Project Leader for Sewing and Cooking and was a member of the Middletown Harmony Club.  She took great pride in her work and served as a paraprofessional for the Missouri School for the Deaf, where she also drove a bus for the school. She additionally worked as a paraprofessional at McIntire Elementary and the Early Childhood Education Center with Fulton Public Schools and later at Montgomery County R-2.

Family meant everything to Erma, and more than anything she loved her grandchildren and spending time with them, joyfully attending every event and activity they were involved in. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, camping, traveling and especially loved taking scenic drives, often choosing quiet gravel roads on her way home.

Survivors include four children Paula Bertels (David), Margie Kemp; Douglas Dunn (Heather) and Keith Dunn; seven grandchildren, Rachel Reams (Drew), Courtney Chaudry (Omar), Katie Bertels (Deyton Dowden), Megan Custard (Ryan), Kaleb "Will" Dunn (Chelsea), Trenton Dunn, Sirrina Roberson (Jonathan); two great grandchildren, Calvin Chaudry, Sophia Roberson; three brothers, Melbourne Kleinsorge (Helen), Marty Kleinsorge (Theresa), Richard Kleinsorge (Mary Jo); three sisters-in-law, Mary Kleinsorge, Carrie Kleinsorge, and Judy Rottman; one brother-in-law, James Dunn (Nancy);

Erma was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one sister, Ann Kleinsorge Brooks; three brothers, Maynard Kleinsorge, Theodore Kleinsorge, and Robert Kleinsorge; brother-in-law Larry and Mary Ellen Dunn; sister-in-law, Barb and Tom Eckler; and brother-in-law, Robert Rottman.

The family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association, Greater Missouri Chapter. Memorials may be sent in care of Myers Funeral Home, 203 E. Bates, Wellsville, MO 63384.
