Estalene Moore, 91, of Middletown, passed away at 1:35 a.m., Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Golden Living Center – Pin Oaks in Mexico, Missouri.

Mrs. Moore was born October 11, 1924, in Middletown, Missouri, a daughter of Cornelius and Lavada Susan (Fitzgerald) Oden.

On October 30, 1943, in Middletown, Missouri, she married Charles Joel Moore. He preceded her in death on October 2, 1988.

Estalene had lived in Middletown most of her life. In her younger years, Estalene and Joel had lived in St. Louis, Missouri and Atlanta, Georgia.

She was a homemaker, housewife and farmwife. Estalene had worked at the Arrow Shirt Garment Factory in Georgia as a seamstress, in earlier years. She also had worked at Bobbie Brooks Garment Factory in Vandalia.

Estalene was a member of the Middletown Baptist Church. She was also a member of Jolly Neighbors Club in Gazette.

She enjoyed quilting, embroidering, crocheting and gardening. Estalene also liked reading and working crossword puzzles. She loved watching the hummingbirds. Estalene did a lot of genealogy with her husband, Joel, and while doing their record search they cleaned up 2 cemeteries around Middletown. Spending time with family is what Estalene enjoyed the most.

Estalene is survived by her children and their spouses, Sharon Kay and Jerry Sharp, of Benton City, Bruce Duane and Judy Moore, of Osceola, Iowa and Gary Wayne and Carol Moore, of Middletown; nine grandchildren, Troy, Ronald and Cheryl Sharp, Tamra Facciola, Niccole Marcus, Tiffany Irving, Trevor Moore and Brent Moore and Melissa Dempsey; fifteen great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Neil and Lavada Oden; husband, Charles Joel Moore; sister, Katie Gibson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charlie and Carrie Moore.

Funeral services were at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the Myers Funeral Home in Middletown. Rev. Gary Pillischafske officiated.

Burial was in Fairmount Cemetery in Middletown, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were Ray Diemert, Austin Irving, Dalton Irving, Trevor Moore, Ron Sharp and Troy Sharp. Honorary pallbearers were Cody Dempsey, Tamra Facciola, Tiffany Irving, Nicolle Marcus, Brent Moore and Cheryl Sharp.

Visitation was held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service, Saturday, at the funeral home.
