Etta Faye Reno, 81, of Wellsville, formerly of Montgomery City and Mexico, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2020 at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital – Audrain in Mexico, Missouri.
Mrs. Reno was born August 19, 1938 in Louisiana, Missouri, a daughter of Lester Burt and Sarah Charlene (England) Martin.
She was a high school graduate in St. Louis.
On February 13, 1959 in St. Louis, Missouri, she married Richard Lloyd Reno, Sr. He preceded her in death.
Etta Faye was a homemaker and housewife. She had worked as a waitress at Tip Top Restaurant in Montgomery City.
She had lived in Mexico and Montgomery City, before moving to Wellsville in 2008. Etta Faye was a devout Catholic and had attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Montgomery City, St. Brendan Catholic Church in Mexico and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Martinsburg.
Etta Faye's life was centered around her children and family. She enjoyed working puzzle books, jigsaw puzzles, sewing, which included making her kids clothes, as well as knitting. She loved cats.
Etta Faye is survived by her children, Mary Jo Byrne and husband, Dennis, of Ingleside, Illinois, Richard Lloyd Reno, Jr., Marita Sue Forest and Robert Joseph Reno and wife, Wendy, all of Mexico and Vicki Krissinger, of St. Louis; thirteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and sister, Virginia Martin, of Farmington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard Lloyd Reno, Sr.; daughters, Cathy Jolene Reno Wilson and Tracey Gwendolyn Reno; son, Ricky Krissinger; brothers, James, Lucky and Chuck Martin and sisters, Mickie Ortiz, Stella Usher and Karen Martin.
Funeral services were at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at the Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville. Father Austin Okoli officiated.
Visitation was held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service, Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Burial was in Sunrise Memorial Gardens, north of Montgomery City. Serving as pallbearers were Dennis Byrne, Tom Christie, Leo Gusman, Bob Reno, Caleb Reno and Rich Reno.
Memorial contributions were suggested to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Montgomery City or National Multiple Sclerosis Society c/o Myers Funeral Home, 203 East Bates Street, Wellsville, MO 63384.
