Frances Lillie Simmons, 92, of Cuba, formerly of Middletown, passed away at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan, Missouri.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Myers Funeral Home in Middletown, Missouri, with Steven Wick officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery in Middletown.

Visitation will be Saturday from Noon until service time at the funeral home.

Frances was born April 5, 1932, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She was the daughter of Franklin and Mary (Weiss) Bruce. On September 5, 1950, in Piggott, Arkansas, she married Lester Simmons. Lester preceded her in death on May 23, 2006.

Frances lived in Princeton, Iowa for 36 years, moving to Middletown, Missouri in 1994. She then moved to Cuba, Missouri in 2018, where she was still living.

She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening. She was a member of the Cuba Church of Christ.

Survivors include three sons, Ken Simmons, of Wheaton, Illinois, Dennis Simmons, of Muscatine, Iowa, and Marvin (Cyndy) Simmons, of Muscatine; three daughters, Nancy (Jim) Levick, of Brookston, Indiana, Judy (Steven) Wick, of Cuba, and Carol Peterson, of Inola, Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Helen Little and Edith Lewis; and two brothers, Daniel Bruce, and Carl Howell Jr.
