Georgia Mitchell, 87, of Martinsburg, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at St. Andrews at New Florence.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2025, at Liberty Cemetery near Shamrock with Ray Purvis officiating.

Visitation will be Monday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville.

Georgia was born February 26, 1938, in Golden Eagle, Illinois. She was the daughter of William and Jeffie (Smith) Dahn. On June 7, 1996, in Wellsville, she married Johnny Mitchell. Johnny preceded her in death on June 24, 2024.

Georgia was a farm wife helping Johnny on the farm. She also worked many years as a cook at various area restaurants. She loved caring for her yard and growing flowers in the yard. She also enjoyed reading, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include one daughter, Tammy DeLong (Daniel), of Martinsburg; one granddaughter, April Steffen (J.J.), of Martinsburg; three great-grandchildren, Meya Charlie Steffen, Zeeva Renee Steffen, and Shawn David Steffen; and her dear friends, Lois and Kelley Spiers, of Wellsville, and Kay Lewis, of Montgomery City,

In addition to her husband Johnny, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Frances "Red" Oliver, and Rowena Greene; one brother, Buck Dahn; and one son-in-law, Charlie Purvis.
