Gerald R. "Jerry" Kalb, 90, of Wellsville, passed away at 6:28 a.m., Friday February 10, 2023, at his home.
A visitation will be held from 1 - 3 p.m. Sunday February 12, 2023, at Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville.
Jerry was born July 23, 1932, in St. Louis. He was the son of Harry and Hilda (Thoene) Kalb. On August 30, 1952, he married Norma Jean Adcox, who preceded him in death on April 29, 1998. On March 17, 2001, he married Joyce V. Pittker who survives.
Jerry was a veteran. He served during the Korean War from 1952 to 1954 in the United States Army.
He had operated Jerry's Upholstery and Foreign Car Repair in St. Louis prior to his retirement and moving to Wellsville. He loved working on his farm in Wellsville. He also was a private pilot and enjoyed flying.
In addition to his wife Joyce, survivors include one son, Gregory Wayne Kalb (Alissa), of Thayer, MO; one daughter, Lisa Joanne Dinga (John), of Des Peres, MO; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Roff (David), of Imperial, MO, Jordan Dinga (Sara) of Fenton, MO, John J. Dinga, of St. Louis, MO, Emily Jensen, of Columbia, MO, Erica Briggs (Anthony), of St. Louis, Hanna Torney (Adam), of Wamego, KS, and Joseph Kalb, of Thayer; 11 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his first wife, Norma, he was preceded in death by one son, Gerald Stephan Kalb; five brothers; and three sisters.
Memorial gifts may be given to the Greater St. Louis Honor Flight. They may be sent in care of Myers Funeral Home, 203 E. Bates Street, Wellsville, MO 63384.
