Henry Ross Sumner, 61, of Wellsville, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at the Wellsville VFW Post, 24 Veterans Road, Wellsville, MO 63384.

Henry was born on December 18, 1963.  He was the son of William Sumner and Marilyn (Smith) Chandler. He was born in Columbia, Missouri during the middle of a blizzard.

Henry spent his life in Missouri, including years he lived in Danville. He worked as a tree trimmer for many years. It was hard, physical work, but he wasn't afraid of heights, hard work, or getting his hands dirty.

Survivors include his loving partner of over 20 years, Marsha Ball of Wellsville; his mother, Marilyn of Wellsville; two daughters, Jana Mullins (Jonathan Reaves) of Beatrice, Nebraska and Allyssa Sumner (Ford McLaughlin) of Lincoln, Nebraska; one brother, John Sumner; one uncle, Tom Sumner; five grandchildren, Addison, Natasha, Alexandra, Illya, and Rycroft; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Henry was preceded in death by his father and two brothers.
