Howard E. Meyer, 101, of Wellsville, passed away at 7:46 a.m., Thursday, June 17, 2021, at Gamma Road Lodge in Wellsville.

Military Honors and burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 24, 2021, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis. Myers Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Howard was born in Chicago on February 1, 1920. His parents were Anton and Meta (Jensen) Meyer. He was married to Elizabeth Carsetensen Meyer who preceded him in death in 2009.

Mr. Meyer was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War. He worked for Western Electric for 33 years before retiring.

He is survived by one daughter in law, Elizabeth "Beth" Meyer, of Bellflower; one step son, David Hull (Vickie) of Austin, Texas; one granddaughter, Christina Blackston (Kolt), of Bellflower, one great grandson, Anton Lucerio, of Colorado; and one great granddaughter, Aclica Lucerio, of Bellflower.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Robert Meyer; and one grandson, Christopher Lucerio.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. They may be sent in care of Myers Funeral Home, 203 E. Bates Street, Wellsville, MO 63384.
