James "Jim" Eckler, 72, of Wellsville, died at 7:36 p.m. Sunday February 6, 2022, at his home.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, February 11, 2022, at the Wellsville Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 – 7 p.m. Thursday, February 10, 2022, at Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville.
Mr. Eckler was born January 19, 1950, to Richard & Mary Sue Ecker. He attended Community R-6 School and graduated from Linn Tech with a degree in drafting. He served 4 years in the U.S. Army. He worked for Montgomery Sales for 30 years and farmed. Mr. Eckler loved farming and his cows.
He is survived by his wife Janet of the home, three children, Eric (Dana) Eckler, of Quincy Illinois, Tonya (Kevin) Jennings of Centralia, Mo., and Ray (Cathy) Eckler, of Laddonia Mo.; seven grandchildren, Christopher and Cody Jennings of Centralia Mo., Camron Jennings, of Fort Meyer Virginia, Damion Eckler of Louisville, Kentucky, Peirce Eckler of Joplin Mo., and Chloe and George Eckler of Laddonia Mo.; three sisters, Susie (Jerry) Johnson, of Laddonia, Mo., Judy (Dennis) Lehnen, of Wellsville Mo., and Irene (Terry) Dungan of Laddonia Mo.; one brother, Bill Eckler, of Denver Colorado; and several nieces and nephews.
Donations may be given to Helen Reagan Cancer Fund. They may be sent in care of Myers Funeral Home, 203 E. Bates Street, Wellsville, MO 63384.
