James "Jamie" Leroy Shaw Jr., 73, of Vandalia, formerly of Middletown, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at his home.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at the Fairmount Cemetery with Pastor Kevin Wilkerson officiating.

Jamie was born February 6, 1952, to James Shaw Sr. and Mildred (Tapley) Shaw. On June 8, 1984, in Spencerburg, Missouri, he married Diane Howard who survives. They spent a total of 42 wonderful years together.

Jamie was baptized at the Vandalia Christian Church.  Jamie had a varied and fulfilling career, working for the railroad and later as a truck driver for several different companies.

Outside of his career, Jamie had a deep passion for collecting toys and restoring antique tractors. He enjoyed the hands-on work of fixing and preserving these pieces of history. One of his greatest joys was participating in tractor pulls, where he proudly drove his tractors, showcasing his love for the craft and the community of fellow enthusiasts.

In addition to his wife Diane, survivors include two daughters, Carrie Keppler (George) of Bellflower and Dani Shaw of New Florence; four grandchildren, Gavin Keppler, Autumn Keppler, Mina Shaw, and Beta Shaw; and two brothers, Mike Shaw (Pam) of Middletown and Terry Shaw (Angel) of Middletown.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents; and two brothers, Butch Shaw and Tommy Shaw.
