Jane Frances Pursifull, 80 of Titusville, Florida, formerly of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Health First Viera Hospital in Melbourne, Florida.

Mrs. Pursifull was born July 29, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter of Reid B. and Catherine Jane (Springer) Currie.

She was a graduate of St. Thomas Aquanis High School, in Florissant, Missouri and continued her education at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Jane worked for McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis for over 35 years.

On September 29, 1973, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Florissant, Missouri, she married Thomas Patrick George Pursifull. They lived in St. Peters, Missouri, before moving full-time to Titusville, Florida in 2003. From 1996 – 2003, Jane and Tom were snowbirds, living in Florida for the winters.

Jane was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Titusville.

Jane was a wonderful artist, accomplished cook, and made beautiful crocheted crafts. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, walks on the beach, her classes at the art league, and trips with husband, Tom, to their favorite places: Sanibel Island, Florida, Mackinac Island, Michigan, and Savannah, Georgia. She also enjoyed her special time with her devoted pet, Callie Lilly.

Jane is survived by her brother Reid B. Currie, Jr, of Ballwin, Missouri, niece, Catherine Currie, of St. Charles, Missouri, Great Nephew, Logan Currie, of St. Charles, Missouri, Great Niece, Payton Currie, of St. Charles, Missouri, Great Nephew, Jackson Currie, of St. Charles, Missouri, and Great Niece, Mackenzie Currie, of St. Charles, Missouri, cousin, Joan Shaughnessy of St. Louis, Missouri, and cousin, Mary Adkisson of Ave Maria, Florida; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law and their spouses, Francis Joseph "Joe" and Joann Pursifull of Louisiana, Missouri, James Anthony Pursifull of Columbia, Missouri, Maureen Ann and Andy Ehret, of Martinsburg, Missouri, Raymond Joseph and Bonnie Pursifull, of Mexico, Missouri, George Edward Pursifull, of Hazelwood, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Pursifull, of Ashley, Missouri, Betty Pursifull, of Martinsburg, Missouri, Carol Pursifull of Martinsburg, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her stepmother, Kathy Currie, brothers-in-law William Clarence "Bill" Pursifull, Vincent Paul Pursifull, and John James Pursifull, and sisters-in-law Julia Jane Pursifull, Rosemary Ann Byland, and Mary Therese Appling.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Martinsburg, Missouri. Father Philip Kane and Deacon Joe Allen will officiate. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery, south of Martinsburg. Serving as pallbearers will be nephews, Pat Pursifull, Mark Pursifull, Roger Pursifull, Colin Pursifull, Great Nephew Logan Currie and cousin Asher Shaughnessy. Honorary pallbearers are niece, Amy Goodman, niece, Julie Brown, niece Angela Woody, nephew Paul Appling, Godson, Christopher Cook, cousin, Patrick Shaughnessy, and cousin Johanna Menendez.

Visitation is from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with mass at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Services are under the direction of Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville.
