Juanita (Farris) Kent, 85, of Wellsville, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital – Audrain in Mexico, Missouri.

Mrs. Kent was born April 9, 1935 in Steele, Missouri, a daughter of Wallace Lester and Iva Viola (Deaton) Farris.

On March 10, 1962 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, she married Raymond Cleo Kent, Sr. They shared over 38 years together, before he preceded her in death on May 24, 2000. Mr. and Mrs. Kent moved to Wellsville in 1982. Prior to that, they had lived in Vandalia.

Mrs. Kent was a homemaker. In earlier years, she had worked at the garment factory in Frankford, Missouri.

Juanita attended the Assembly of God Church.

She enjoyed cooking, sitting on the porch and most of all, being with her family.

Juanita is survived by her children and their spouses, Johnney Belinda (Larry) Baird, of Vandalia, Arthur Dewitt (Doris) Vaughn, of Middletown, Alice Fay Hill, of Middletown, Sandra Kay Martin, of Jefferson City, Raymond C. (Aggie) Kent, Jr., of New Florence, Charles L. Kent, of Wellsville, Bradley Wayne Kent, of New Florence and Lisa Michelle Kent, of Wellsville; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; siblings, Richard (Freda) Farris, of Ellisnore, Marie Brown, of Granite City, Illinois, Kathy (Charles) Walker, of Ellisnore, Sylvia Meese, of Clarkton and Suedell Talley, of Poplar Bluff; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond Cleo Kent, Sr.; three brothers, JD, Lee and Hollie Farris and sister, Susie Tucker.

Private Family Services were Friday, July 31, 2020 at the Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville. Rev. Bud Weiser officiated.

Burial was in Fairmount Cemetery in Middletown, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers wereBecky Edvall, Jordan Kent, Steven Presley, Blaine Summers, Carlton Summers and Eric Vaughn.

Memorial contributions were suggested to the charity of the donor's choice c/o Myers Funeral Home, 203 East Bates Street, Wellsville, MO 63384.
