June Parrish, 97, of Wellsville, passed away at 4:46 p.m. Thursday December 30, 2022, at Gamma Road Lodge in Wellsville.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday January 3, 2023, at the Middletown Christian Church with Rev. John Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 1 p.m. until service time at the church. Myers Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

June was born September 23, 1925, in Menard County, Illinois. She was the daughter of Earl and Vivian (Hill) Gaddie. On November 16, 1943, in Bowling Green, Mo., she married James Irvin Parrish. Mr. Parrish preceded her in death on October 16, 1984.

June was a mother and homemaker most of her life. However in the 1950's she and her husband operated J and J Meat Locker in Middletown. She had formerly been a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading. She was a member of the Middletown Christian Church.

Survivors include three sons, Richard Irvin Parrish, of Wellsville, Allen Dale Parrish, of Wellsville, and John Edward (Debbie) Parrish, of Louisville, Kentucky; two daughters, Sandra Kay Parrish, of Wellsville, and Shirley June Willis, of Osage Beach, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son, James Earl "Jimmie" Parrish; one sister, Marian Lewis; and one brother-in-law Olin Lewis.
