Lee Stevenson, 80, of New Florence, passed away at 8:44 p.m. Friday January 20, 2023, at University Hospital in Columbia.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2023, at the Wellsville VFW. Myers Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Lee was born on December 16, 1942, in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was the son of Delmar and Marian (Momberger) Stevenson.

He was a veteran having served in the US Navy Seabees during the Viet Nam war era.

Lee worked at Firebrick Refractories most of his life. He worked many years in Wellsville and a few years in Mexico. He was a lifelong member of the Wellsville United Methodist Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of the Wellsville VFW Post 3056.

Lee loved the outdoors. He enjoyed gardening and taking float trips. He was known for being an avid arrowhead hunter and collector.

Survivors include three sons, Patrick Stevenson and wife Julie, of Mexico, Andrew Stevenson and wife Wendy, of Jacksonville, Florida, and Shannon Stevenson and wife Cindy, of Olive Branch, Mississippi; one daughter, Leigh Ann Freeman, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two brothers, Bruce Stevenson, of St. Charles, and Ray Stevenson, of Fort Myers, Florida; and several grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Kevin Stevenson.
