Leland "Butch" Davis, 75, of Wellsville, passed away at 11:03 p.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Progress West Hospital in O'Fallon, MO.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 14, 2021, at The Lighthouse Church, 2848 County Road 147, Kingdom City, MO 65262 with Pastor Jason Jordan officiating. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 13, 2021, at Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville. Burial will be in the Liberty Christian Cemetery near Shamrock.

Butch was born December 23, 1945, in Martinsburg, MO, the son of Orville and Aleta (Boicourt) Davis. On May 6, 1967, in Martinsburg, he married Cynthia Ann Hale who survives.

Butch was a 1963 graduate of WMR1 High School. He farmed and raised cattle, and spent over 30 years working for the Wellsville Firebrick Company. He enjoyed playing cards, attending the senior center, playing softball, and he had been a member of the Wellsville Baptist Church Choir. He was a member of The Lighthouse Church in Kingdom City. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. In his younger years he was an avid hunter and fisherman.

In addition to his wife, Cindy, survivors include three sons, William Allen (Shanna) Davis of Carrollton, IL, Justin Price Davis of House Springs, MO, and James Leland Davis (Ashley) of O'Fallon, MO; two daughters, Deanna Ruth Winingear (Justin) of Wentzville and Abigail Nannette Wiemann (Shea) of Troy; two brothers, Leslie Davis of Wellsville, Alan Davis (Pam) of Wellsville; four sisters, Bernice Tarrants of Martinsburg, Fern Penn (Richard) of Middletown, Phyllis Lawrence of Middletown, and Lois Spiers (Kelly) of Wellsville; 16 grandchildren, William Davis, Emily (Trevor) Kirkpatrick, Nathaniel (Rachel), Ashton, Isabella, Dalton, Titus, Naomi, and Aleta Winingear, Elyse, Jace, Gavin, and Olivia Davis, and Finley, Everett, and Isaiah Wiemann. He also is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Margaret Bentley, Ann Klante, and Janet Higgenbothan; and one infant brother, Orville Leroy Davis.
