Marian Lewis, 85, of Martinsburg, passed away at 1:20 p.m., Friday, March 31, 2017 at her son and daughter-in-laws home in Martinsburg.

Mrs. Lewis was born October 18, 1931, in Greenville, Illinois, a daughter of Earl and Vivian Gladys (Hill) Gaddie.

On December 23, 1949, in Mexico, Missouri, she married Olin Edward Lewis. After sharing over 58 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on October 17, 2008.

Marian had lived at her present address since 1964 but had been in Martinsburg since 1954.

She had worked as a bookkeeper for Lewis Trucking for several years. Earlier she had worked at Swingmaster Garment Factory in Wellsville.

Marian was a member of the Martinsburg Community Church and a former member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 3056 in Wellsville.

She enjoyed camping, fishing and riding around looking at the countryside. Marian loved to read and most of all, enjoyed being around her grandchildren.

Marian is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Roger Dion and Joyce Lewis, of Martinsburg; daughter, Joyce Eilene Eikel, of Hermann; four grandchildren and spouses, Lisa Householder, of Martinsburg and her fiance' Jimmy Jeffries, of Mexico, Michael and Carol Lewis, of Martinsburg, Marsha and Mike Hosking, of New Albany, Indiana and Ronnie Eikel, of Hermann; five great-grandchildren, Lance and Natalie Gibson, of Martinsburg and Jackson, Hadley and Sam Hosking, of New Albany, Indiana; great-great granddaughter, Andrea David, of Mexico; sister, June Parrish, of Wellsville and sister-in-law, Mary Wilehmene David, of Bowling Green.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Olin Edward Lewis; son, Ronald Edward Lewis; father, Earl Gaddie and mother, Vivian Gaddie Thomason.

Funeral services were at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at the Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville. Rev. Justin Keith officiated.

Burial was in the Wellsville Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Michael Lewis, Lance Gibson, Ronnie Eikel, Jimmy Jeffries, Mike Gibson and Mike Hosking. Honorary pallbearers were Lisa Householder, Marsha Hosking, Carol Lewis and Jeff Angel.

Visitation was held from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, April 3, 2017at the funeral home.
