Marjorie Mae Angel, 83, of Wellsville, passed away at 1:50 a.m., Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Golden Living Center/Gamma Road Lodge in Wellsville.

Mrs. Angel was born January 28, 1933, in Wellsville, Missouri, a daughter of Daniel Walter and Etta Mae (Bentley) Peery.

On August 27, 1950, at Pastor Dameron's house in Middletown, Missouri, she married Leslie Earl Angel Sr.They were happily married for almost 55 years, before he preceded her in death on February 18, 2005.

Marjorie had lived in Wellsville for the past 30 years.Prior to that, she had lived in Jonesburg.

She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Wellsville and former member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jonesburg.

Marjorie worked for Decora in Montgomery City for over 15 years as a quality control specialist, retiring in October 1995.Marjorie had also been employed at the Jonesburg Shoe Factory and the Art Craft in Jonesburg, where they packed hospital admission kits.She had owned and operated L & M Café in Jonesburg as well.

She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxillary and the St. Paul Lutheran Church Ladies Aid in Jonesburg.

Marjorie enjoyed sewing, cooking and flower gardening.

Marjorie is survived by her children and their spouses, Judith Ann "Judy" Howell and husband, John, of Wellsville, Sharon Kay Horn and husband, Marvin, of Jonesburg, Leslie Earl "Butch" Angel Jr., of Jonesburg, Daniel Wayne "Danny" Angel Sr. and wife, Elaine, of High Hill and Randall Lee "Randy" Angel Sr., of Wellsville; thirteen grandchildren and spouses, Jeania and Earl Burton and Jennifer and Eric Huff, of Wellsville, Greg and Mary Horn of Warrenton, Chad Angel, of Jonesburg, and Lance Horn of Wellsville,Jamie Vincent, of Warrenton, Rick Angel, of the state of Kansas, Danny and Rachael Angel Jr., of New Florence, Angie Angel and Karl Schlanker, of Montgomery City, Lendia and Mike Dipman, of Sheldon, MO., Randy and Stephanie Angel Jr., of the state of Louisiana, Nichole Angel, of Columbia and Matt and Stephanie Horn, of Warrenton; twenty-two great-grandchildren, Zachary and Benjamin Burton and Cameron, Riley, Carson and Cooper Huff, of Wellsville, Kalli and Kara Horn, of Warrenton, Savanah and Brooklyn Horn, of Warrenton, Elaina, Ory, Accelia and Ivan Vincent, of Warrenton, Jordyn and Logan Angel, of New Florence, Brooke Angel of Arkansas, and Max Angel, of Montgomery City, Gavin, Trenton and Hadlee Joe Dipman, of Sheldon, and Sebastian Angel, of the state of Texas; twin sister, Margaret Marie Hollensteiner of Wellsville; sister and brother-in-law, Doris Jean and LeRoy Bolton, of Jonesburg; in addition to nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leslie Earl Angel Sr.; brother, Charles Isaac Peery; half-brother, Kent Peery and half-sister, Jewell Bernice Lovelace.

Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 7, 2016 at the Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville.Rev. Luke Wolters officiated.Serving as organist was Eldora Lowry.

Burial was in the Wellsville Cemetery.Serving as pallbearers were her grandsons, Chad Angel, Danny Angel Jr., Randy Angel Jr., Rick Angel, Greg Horn, Lance Horn, Matt Horn and friend, Clifford Coleman.

Visitation was held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service, Thursday, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions were suggested to Grace Lutheran Church or the Wellsville Cemetery Association c/o Myers Funeral Home, 203 East Bates Street, Wellsville, MO 63384.
