Marla Lynn Winter, 67, of Middletown, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2026.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at the funeral home.
Marla was born on November 16, 1958 in Mexico, the daughter of Charles and Mary Jean (Haubner) Seale. On December 6, 1980, at the Baptist Church in Bachelor, Missouri, she married Glen Winter Jr., who survives.
Marla devoted her life to caring for her family and found joy in the simple, meaningful things of everyday life. An only child, she was born in Mexico, Missouri, and lived there until the age of three when her family moved to the Bachelor, Missouri area. Growing up, she raised cattle and learned the value of hard work at an early age.
Over the years, she worked in several roles, serving as a librarian for the Audrain County Library beginning in 1980, as a cook for the Wellsville-Middletown School District, and later in the food service department at County Market in Madison, Iowa, from 2008 until 2014. No matter where she worked, she was known for her dedication and dependable nature.
She had a deep love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed gardening, flowers, animals, canning, and spending time outside. She even liked mowing, making sure to keep things neat and cared for. She was also very creative and found special happiness in decorating for Christmas and making life beautiful for those around her.
Her grandchildren were truly her pride and joy. She treasured the time she spent with them, whether playing board games, card games, or simply making memories together. Her love for her family was at the center of her life.
Survivors include her husband Glen; mother Mary Jean Seale in Bachelor; two sons, Ryan Winter (Ashley Phelps) of Little Falls, Minnesota and Aaron Winter (Samantha) of Middletown; six grandchildren, Zoie Hotaling, Logan Winter, Matthew Winter, Adam Winter, Nora Winter, and Christian Winter; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Glen Sr. and Barbara Winter of Truxton; one aunt, Mary Margaret Haubner; four sisters-in-law, Mary Martinek of Troy, Cheryl Mize of Texas, Angie Barton (Kevin) of Troy, and Glenda Williams (John) of Florida.
Marla is preceded in death by her father Charlie; two aunts, Irene Cornelius and Inez Strickland; and one uncle, Harold Seale.
