Marta Lee Robinson, 90, of Montgomery City, formerly of Martinsburg, passed away at 1:05 p.m., Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Jefferson City Manor in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Mrs. Robinson was born March 15, 1927 in Montgomery City, Missouri, a daughter of Charles Isaac and Edna Mae (Porter) Worland.

She was a 1945 graduate of Montgomery County R-II High School.

On January 25, 1947 at the Methodist Church in Montgomery City, she married Claude Price Robinson Sr. He preceded her in death on May 25, 1981.

Marta had lived in Montgomery City since 1989. Prior to 1989, she had lived on their family farm south of Martinsburg.

Marta was a homemaker and farmwife. She had also worked at Friedman's Frame Shop in Martinsburg as the bookkeeper for several years.

She was a member of the Martinsburg Community Church, where she was very active for many years and a member of the Ladies Aid.

Marta had also been a member of Shamrock Ladies Pitch Club.

She enjoyed cooking, vegetable and flower gardening and playing cards. More than anything, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Marta is survived by her daughter, Sandra Lee Robinson, of Holts Summit; daughter-in-law, Vickie Robinson, of Montgomery City; grandchildren and spouses, Stephanie and Jon Wilburn, of Martinsburg, Suzanne and Terry Morris, of Kansas City, Kamela and Garry Crum, of Mexico and Michael and Ashten Robinson, of Wellsville; step-grandchildren, Allen and Stephanie Robinson, of Chillicothe, Eddie and Tammy Robinson, of Wellsville and Chris and Marcia Robinson, of Jefferson City; in addition to several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Claude Price Robinson Sr.; son, Charles Allen Robinson; step-son, Claude Robinson Jr.; brother and sister-in-law, Charles Isaac "Ike" and Frances Worland; sister and brother-in-law, Georgia Marie and Ural "Buck" Buchanan; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gail and Allie Lucille Robinson.

Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Martinsburg Community Church. Rev. Justin Keith and Deacon Ron Deimeke officiated. Serving as organist was Lisa Brandt. Soloist was Brenda Hale.

Burial was in Montgomery City Cemetery in Montgomery City, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were Michael Robinson, Allen Robinson, Chris Robinson, Eddie Robinson, Jon Wilburn, Garry Crum and Terry Morris. Honorary pallbearers were Kirk Ballew, Will Oliver and Rick Worland.

Visitation was held from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, May 26, 2017 at the church.

Services were under the direction of the Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville.
