Mary Alice Barton, 76, of Middletown, passed away at her home on Wednesday November 2, 2022.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday November 7, 2022, at Myers Funeral Home in Middletown with Pastor Cole Branstetter officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 – 7 p.m. Sunday November 6, 2022, at the funeral home in Middletown.

Mary was born in Louisiana, Missouri on November 4, 1945. She was the daughter of James and Rachel (Bowers) Storck. On January 2, 1965, in Vandalia, she married Lindell Barton who survives.

She was a homemaker and farm wife, helping Lindell and raising the girls. She enjoyed flower gardens and house plants, caring for the yard, painting and drawing, reading, and taking care of a variety of animals and pets. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life.

She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church of Wellsville.

In addition to her husband Lindell, she is survived by two daughters, Sandy Gastler (Sam), of Martinsburg, and Amy Flowers (Cameron), of Middletown; one brother, Jim Storck (Lisa), of New Hampshire; five grandchildren, Megan Schafer (Stephan), of Martinsburg, Nicholas and Matthew Gastler, of Martinsburg, Katlyn Cooper (Travis), of Martinsburg, and Mariah Flowers, of Bowling Green; five great-grandchildren, Hudson and Tate Schafer, Jackson and Lincoln Cooper, and Ayden Fleming; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Betty Peck, and Gloria Branstetter; and a nephew, Brian Branstetter.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Pike County Home Health and Hospice, or to the Hopewell Baptist Church. They may be sent in care of Myers Funeral Home, 203 E. Bates Street, Wellsville, MO 63384.
