Melissa Jo (Foster) Bextermueller, 34, of St. Charles, passed away unexpectedly at 9:50 p.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles, Missouri.

Melissa was born January 26, 1982, in Florissant, Missouri, a daughter of Joseph Edward and Barbara Ann (Canterbury) Foster.

She was a 2000 graduate of St. Charles High School. Melissa graduated from the University of Missouri – St. Louis in 2005 with her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

Melissa had worked as the General Manager for HoneyBaked Ham Company in St. Peters, where she had been employed for the last 13 years.

She had lived in St. Charles her whole life. Melissa was a member of Faith Church in St. Louis.

Melissa spent a lot of her past time fishing and she loved going to the beach. She thoroughly enjoyed hanging out with her family and friends. Her two boys, Butch and Jackson, were her life.

Melissa is survived by her two sons, Robert Allan "Butch" Bextermueller III and Jackson Robert Bextermueller, of St. Charles; parents, Joe and Barbara Foster, of St. Charles; sister, Melanie Ann Gipson, of Montgomery City; two nieces and nephew, Ashley Ann Gipson, of Wellsville and Autumn Belle Gipson and Kenny Joseph "K.J." Gipson, of Troy; in addition to aunts, uncles and many cousins.

Visitation was held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 2, 2017 at the Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville.

Graveside services were at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at the Wellsville Cemetery. Rev. John Foster officiated. Special music was provided by Tara Calton.

Serving as pallbearers were Matt Canterbury, Chuck Giger, K.J. Gipson, Dusty Owen, Bruce Parker, Brian Scheidle and Jim Scheidle.

Memorial contributions were suggested to Robert and Jackson Bextermueller Trust Fund c/o Martinsburg Bank & Trust, 107 West Kellet, Martinsburg, MO 65264.
