Michelle "Shelly" (Purvis) Carroz, 55, of Montgomery City, passed away at 5:25 p.m., Saturday, March 22, 2025, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday, March 31, 2025 at Reach Community Church in Montgomery City.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 31, 2025, from 3 p.m. until the time of the service at Reach Community Church in Montgomery City.
Shelly was born September 19, 1969, in Mexico. She was the daughter of James "Jim" and Catherine "Cathie" Purvis. On February 22, 1992, in Martinsburg, she married Cary Lynn Carroz, who survives.
Growing up in Martinsburg she attended St. Joseph Catholic School and she graduated from Community R6 High School. She later attained her BS in Accounting. Most recently she attended Reach Church in Montgomery City.
She enjoyed Quilting, working puzzle books and crosswords. She also loved to play board games, spending time with family and being with the kids and grandkids, nieces and nephews.
Shelly was a cashier at Casey's in Montgomery City. She also had been a seamstress with Joy Creations.
In addition to her husband Cary survivors include one daughter Nicole Carroz of Montgomery City; one son Christopher Carroz (Alysen Fordyce) of Naperville, Illinois; one grandson Hudson Carroz; one granddaughter Hadley Carroz; one sister Susie Purvis of Columbia; one sister-in-law Keacha (Dan) Murray of Illinois; three nieces, Ashley (Travis) Beets and their sons Aden, Meyer, and Machlin; Brittney (Zay) Tucker and their children Dante, Amayah, Exzaria, Zayvion, and Zayvier; and Brineja (Morgan) Tucker. Three uncles, Lee Junior Purvis, Ray (Donna) Purvis, and Larry (Barbara) Calhoon; three aunts Corless Vomund, Ann Goosey, and Tammy (Daniel) DeLong along with several cousins
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.
Memorials may be made to the family. They may be sent in care of Myers Funeral Home, 203 E. Bates Street, Wellsville, MO 63384.
