Naomi L. Folta, 66, of Columbia, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Boone Hospital in Columbia.

A Celebration of Life is set for Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 12:00 to 3:00 pm at the VFW Hall in Wellsville.

Naomi was born on July 8, 1958, in Washington, Missouri.  She was the daughter of John and Patricia (Dodd) Hill.  She was previously married to Albert Folta III.

With a passion for numbers and a genuine desire to help others, Naomi provided invaluable financial guidance to individuals, always ensuring their needs were met with care and precision. She was more than just an accountant; she was a trusted advisor and confidant, helping many navigate their financial journeys. However, her passion for service extended far beyond her career. For many years, Naomi served as an Alpha-1 Coordinator for AlphaNet, where she educated and guided individuals diagnosed with Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency. Her selfless dedication to this cause made a profound impact on countless lives, as she provided support, information, and hope to those navigating their diagnosis.

Naomi was a devoted grandmother, who cherishing every moment spent with her grandchildren. Her family was her pride and joy, and she made every gathering special with her warmth and laughter. When she wasn't spending time with her cherished family, Naomi found joy in crocheting and crafting. Her hands created beautiful, heartfelt items that brought warmth and comfort to those around her.

Survivors include one daughter, Tonya Coalwell of Columbia; one son, Shawn Folta of Phoenix, Arizona; one grandchild, Alex Coalwell; one great grandchild, Nirvana Carol Lynn; one sister, Carolyn Bybee (Stephen) of Montgomery City; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog Izzy.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, William and Naomi (Nichols) Hill; maternal grandparents Loyd and Dorothy (Banks) Dodd; her parents; two sisters Joan Hill and Diana Hill; and her granddaughter Rhaionna Coalwell.
