Reginald Lee "Reggie" Householder, 81, of Martinsburg, passed away Friday, March 20, 2020 at his home, with his family by his side.
Mr. Householder was born November 3, 1938 in Athens, Ohio, a son of Floyd J. and Sarah Emily (Harris) Householder.
On March 25, 1984 in Mexico, Missouri, he married Mary Ann Whelan. They have shared nearly 36 years of marriage together. Reggie and Mary Ann have lived at their present address since 2010. Reggie had previously lived in Perry (Hutchinson), St. Louis, and Wellsville, but most of his life in Martinsburg.
Reggie had retired from Wellsville Firebrick Company in 2001 after 39 years of employment.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Martinsburg.
Reggie is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Householder, of the home in Martinsburg; children and spouses, Reggie Joe and Stephanie Householder, of Auxvasse, Anna Catherine and Dale Duffy, of Corpus Christi, Texas, Sarah Margaret Householder, of Mexico and Dawn Eileen Hall, of Mexico; step-daughter, Rhonda Arens; sisters and brothers, Mary Ann Lewis, of Wellsville, Christina and Charles Gruber, of St. Louis, Martin and Debra Ward, of Columbia, Dennis and Dennece Ward, of Vandalia, Florence Marie and John Lynn, of Center and Eddie Ward and Janet May, of Fulton; in addition to several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, John LeRoy Householder and sister, Elsie May Frey.
Private family graveside services were held Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Martinsburg. Father Austin Okoli officiated.
Services were under the direction of the Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville.
Memorial contributions were suggested to St. Joseph Cemetery c/o Myers Funeral Home, 203 East Bates Street, Wellsville, MO 63384.
