Richard Playfair "Rick" Weekley Jr., 47, of Holts Summit, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2016 at his home.

Memorial services were at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the Middletown Baptist Church. Rev. John Foster officiated. Special music was provided by Wendy Sona, Spring Lynch and Tara Calton.

Visitation was held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service, Saturday, at the church.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Myers Funeral Home in Middletown.

Rick was born June 6, 1968, in St. Charles, Missouri, a son of Richard Playfair Weekley Sr. and Deanna Joyce Hovis Weekley.

He was a graduate of Warrenton High School.

Prior to moving to Holts Summit, Rick had lived in St. Charles, Warrenton and the Jefferson City areas.

On August 2, 2013, in Jefferson City, Missouri, he married Darla Lucille Rehagen.

Rick was employed by Missouri Builders in Jefferson City as a roofer. He enjoyed his job and loved roofing. He had formerly owned and operated Rick's Taxidermy in Warrenton and Buck Dynasty Taxidermy in Jefferson City, which he thoroughly enjoyed. In prior years, Rick worked for Negwer Materials, Inc. in St. Louis, driving a truck that hauled sheetrock.

He was a member of Jefferson City Local Union 20.

Rick was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying deer hunting and fishing. He loved riding his motorcycle. Rick also liked watching St. Louis Cardinal's baseball. He had a love for Nascar, with Dale Earnhardt Jr. being his favorite driver. Rick always had a Mountain Dew in his hand and also enjoyed cooking.

Rick is survived by his wife, Darla Lucille Weekley, of Jefferson City; mother and step-father, Deanna Joyce and Gary Regot, of Middletown; father, Richard Playfair Weekley Sr. and friend, Nancy Rosso, of Warrenton; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gerald and Phyllis Rehagen, of Meta; step-children, Tabitha Williams, Gianna Mae Galluzzio and Landon Giovanni Galluzzio, of Jefferson City, Sara Stevens, of the state of Florida and Cory Stevens, of Warrenton; sisters, Wendy Gipson Sona, of Middletown, Jacqueline "Jackie" Wood, of Wellsville, Jeanie Fetch and husband, Ray, of Warrenton, Kelly Wade, of Wellsville and Taunya Soles, of Warrenton; brothers, Patrick Weekley and Neil Wade, both of Warrenton; in addition to several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his son, Tad Weekley; step-mother, Pamela June Weekley and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
