Robert John "Bud" Wieberg, 84, of Martinsburg, passed awayon Thursday, June 16, 2016, at his home with his family by his side.

Bud was born May 8, 1932, in Martinsburg, Missouri, a son of Theodore and Ottilia Dubbert Wieberg.

He served his country in the United States Navy, serving in the Korean War, entering on November 13, 1950, and being honorably discharged on September 10, 1954. He was the recipient of the China Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Air Medal (2 awards).

On September 1, 1956, at St. John's Catholic Church in Laddonia, he married Willa Marie Pendergast. They shared over 52 years together and were the proud parents of 7 children. She preceded him in death on May 15, 2009.

Bud lived in Martinsburg always with the exception of his time in the military. He was a partnerof Wieberg Implement Company, winning many awards including Parts Master.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Knights of Columbia Local No. 1270 and American Legion Post 552 all of Martinsburg.

Bud enjoyed traveling and had traveled 49 states with his wife, Willa, and went to the 50th after her death. He also enjoyed fishing and liked to mow. A memorable experience in Bud's life was going on the Central Missouri Honor Flight #27to Washington D.C. in May 2014.

Bud is survived by his children, Robert John "Bob" Wieberg II and wife, Diana Carol, of Sugarland, Texas, Theodore Joseph "Ted" Wieberg, of Mexico, Constance Ann Pritchett, of Marion, Arkansas, Edward Alan "Eddie" Wieberg and wife, Lisa, of Martinsburg, Teresa Jane Ross, of Mexico, Patricia Marie "Patti" Downey and husband, Jim, of Park Ridge, Illinois and Catherine Johanna "Cathy" Wieberg, of Godfrey, Illinois; fifteen grandchildren, Zachary Ryan Wieberg, Taylor Renae Wieberg, Andrew Robert Pritchett, Leslie Ann Pritchett, Julia Carin Engledowl and husband, Matt, Jack Burton Pritchett, Wesley Robert Wieberg, Johanna Fay "Jennie" Beamer and husband, Zach, Emily Marie Wieberg, Johanna Arlene Ross, John Robert Ross, Richard Alan Ross, Marie Catherine Downey, Laura Anne Downey and Kathleen Mae Downey; three great-grandchildren, Robert Alexander Pritchett, Kyle Julian Pritchett and Jocelyn Marie Pritchett; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Doris Wieberg and Carl and Margie Wieberg of Martinsburg; sisters, Jane Frick, of O'Fallon and Claire Brinkmann, of St. Louis; in addition to nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Willa Marie Wieberg and parents Theodore and Ottilia Wieberg.

Visitation was held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 20, 2016 at the Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville.

Mass of Christian Burial was at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Martinsburg. Father Joseph Abah and Deacon Ron Deimeke officiated. Serving as organist was Ruth Wilson. Cantor was Brenda Hale.

Burial was in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, south of Martinsburg. Serving as pallbearers were John Moore, Joe Paschang, Andy Pritchett, John Robert Ross, Darrell Welschmeyer and Wesley Wieberg.

Full Military Honors were provided by Martinsburg American Legion Post 552 and Missouri Military Funeral Honors Detail Team.
