Roger Sidney Scott, 93, of Wellsville, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2019 at St. Andrew's at New Florence.

Mr. Scott was born March 11, 1926 in Mexico, Missouri, a son of Ernest Dickey and Ozella May (Walker) Scott.

He was a 1944 graduate of Wellsville High School. Roger was a Missouri FFA State Vice President Officer from 1944-1945.

On March 30, 1952 in Tuscola, Illinois, he married Margaret Jane Cannon. They shared almost 63 years of marriage together before she preceded him in death on March 15, 2015.

Roger was a grain and livestock farmer. He lived all of his life in Wellsville.

He was a member of the Wellsville United Methodist-Presbyterian Church, where he served as a Sunday School Teacher as well as many other positions in the church.

Roger was a former board member of Producers Grain, which is currently MFA.

He liked gardening. Roger enjoyed fabrication and working on antique tractors. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Roger is survived by his children and their spouses, Steven Ward Scott, of Wellsville, Annette Louise and Lew Stevenson, of Kansas City, John Roger Scott and fiancee' Karen Clemons and her son Darin Clemons, of Wellsville and Rodney Mark and Lisa Scott, of Wellsville; six grandchildren, Liebe Annette Stevenson, of Kansas City, Sally Anne Guth, of Kansas City, Brett Steven Scott, Nicholas Bastean Scott, Emma Carol Scott and Molly Elizabeth Scott, all of Wellsville and four great-grandchildren, Jaden Nichole Cruz-Scott, of Wellsville, Noah Dempsey Croom, of Kansas City and Sloane Naomi Franges and Nicholas Nemo Franges II, of Kansas City.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Jane Scott; parents, Ernest and Ozella Scott; sister, May Katherine Wilcox and brother, Ernest Emil Scott.

Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 1, 2019. Rev. Mark Spence and Rev. Jonathan Bradley officiated. Serving as organist was Carrie Nelson.

Visitation was held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service, Monday, at the funeral home.

Burial was in the Wellsville Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Paul Dubbert, Sam Fort, Charlie Freie, Dennis Lehnen, Lande Lehnen and Don Quamby. Honorary pallbearers were Rita Freie, Bill McClain, John Maskey, Ed and Karen Murphy, Don Whitehead and Bob Wilkerson.
