Rosalie Oligschlaeger, 78, of Wellsville, passed away at 9:00 p.m., Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Gamma Road Lodge in Wellsville.

Mrs. Oligschlaeger was born September 22, 1939, in Middletown, Missouri, a daughter of Arthur Stanley and Nellie Gray (Watson) Brooks.

She was a 1957 graduate of Wellsville High School. Rosalie continued her education for a year at Sanford Brown Business School, majoring in accounting.

On October 23, 1965 at the Church of the Resurrection in Wellsville, Missouri, she married Lawrence Emil "Bud" Oligschlaeger. They recently shared their 52nd wedding anniversary. Rosalie and Bud had lived on their farm in rural Wellsville from 1974 - 2015.

Rosalie had been employed at Ardco Dye Plant as a secretary and then Swingmaster Garment Factory, both in Wellsville. From 1981 - 2000, Rosalie worked for Wellsville-Middletown R-1 High School, as the Secretary to the Superintendent and Board of Education. After Rosalie retired in 2000, she then became employed at Community R-VI in Laddonia as Secretary to the Superintendent and Board of Education.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Martinsburg. Rosalie was also a member of StuDere, Red Hat Society and the Friends of the Library.

Rosalie enjoyed sewing, walking, reading and swimming at the YMCA. She liked to travel and had been to many different countries. Rosalie loved being with her family and especially making quilts for them.

Rosalie is survived by her husband, Lawrence Emil "Bud" Oligschlaeger, of the home in Wellsville; four sons and daughters-in-law, James Patrick and Laura Oligschlaeger, of St. Clair, Edward Curtis and Laura Oligschlaeger, of Middletown, Kevin Alan and Erin Oligschlaeger, of Albany and Philip Lee Oligschlaeger, of Wellsville; fifteen grandchildren, Joshua Oligschlaeger, of Danville, Destiny Oligschlaeger, of Russellville, Emily Oligschlaeger, Joseph Oligschlaeger and Holly Oligschlaeger, of St. Clair, Michael Oligschlaeger and Julia Stauffacher, of Middletown, Shelby Oligschlaeger, of Middletown, Matthew Oligschlaeger and wife, Morgan, of Vandalia, Sierra Oligschlaeger, of Middletown, Kennedy Rentfro, Sydney Oligschlaeger and Leo Oligschlaeger, of Albany, Dalton Oligschlaeger, of Mexico and Kyle Oligschlaeger and Jordyn Oligschlaeger, of Wellsville; seven great-grandchildren, Kaiden and Saphira Oligschlaeger and Destiny and Travis Stauffacher, of Middletown, Kyler Fisher, of Middletown and Brandon and Madilon Oligschlaeger, of Vandalia; sister-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Brooks, of Mexico; in addition to nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Nellie Brooks; brothers, Stanley Joseph Brooks and Max Vogel and his wife, Jean Vogel.

A Rosary was recited at 5:45 p.m., followed by Visitation from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville.

Mass of Christian Burial was at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 3, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Martinsburg. Father Joseph Abah and Deacon Ron Deimeke officiated. Serving as organist was Palmyra Dubbert. Cantor was Patty Fennewald.

Burial was in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, south of Martinsburg. Serving as pallbearers were her grandsons, Dalton Oligschlaeger, Joe Oligschlaeger, Josh Oligschlaeger, Kyle Oligschlaeger, Matthew Oligschlaeger and Michael Oligschlaeger. Honorary pallbearer was her grandson, Leo Oligschlaeger.
